SR is recruiting again!

We are looking for enthusiastic students from all years, BA, IBA, Premaster and Master to join Student Representation. Are you interested in being part of SR? Find out more about our different positions and how to apply below.

In your motivation letter (1 page max.) please describe the following:

Student Representative

As a Student Representative, you will be responsible for representing one course per trimester, together with a fellow representative. This means you will be the voice of your year. You will collect feedback from students, have meetings with the professor and programme management, and write two reports based on the feedback and meetings.

We are currently recruiting for:

  • 1st and 2nd year (I)BA Representatives
  • Minor Representatives
  • Premaster Representatives

A Student Representative is typically organised, social, has great communication skills and shows dedication.

If you are a BA (Bedrijfskunde) student and only apply for the position of Student Representative, you can choose whether to you write your application in Dutch or English.

Programme Advisory

As part of one of the Programme Advisory committees, you will contribute to continuous improvement for general processes and education at RSM, which transcends course level. You will collect feedback through surveys and focus groups, and work out proposals on issues the student body wants to be improved. These proposals will be sent to Programme Management and/or other stakeholders and can discuss issues such as students’ mental health, exam organisation, or additional training for professors.

Programme Advisory exists of three committees: Examinations, Internship & Exchange, and Programme Development. Each focuses on a certain specific area that affects students; whether it be the overall examination situation at RSM, students’ experience during their internship or exchange, or the general educational environment at RSM.

You will be applying for Programme Advisory as a whole and in the interview process, you can indicate your preference for a specific committee. A member of a Programme Advisory committee is typically well-organised, critical, comfortable with excel, communicative, creative, passionate about their work and shows dedication.

Marketing

As a member of the Marketing committee, you take care of all marketing-related activities of SR. You will come up with ways to increase SR awareness and promote its success stories to the RSM community. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping create promotional plans for SR events. You will work closely together with the Events committee.

Members of the Marketing committee are typically creative and flexible. Knowledge and skills for Photoshop, Pixlr, or online editing in general are assets but not mandatory when applying.

Events

The Events committee will organize social events for the SR family. Examples of these events are the SR Birthday, SR Member’s Day,  Drinks with your Professor and SR BBQ. Throughout the year, you are also encouraged to come up with creative ideas for additional events that bring the SR family together! 

Event committee members are typically creative, organised, open-minded and flexible. These people bring the SR family together and work towards connecting all SR members!

SR Trip

As a member of the SR Trip Committee, you will organize a legendary weekend trip to a destination in Europe for all SR members. Previous destinations include Berlin, Prague and Lille. With your committee you will be responsible for organizing everything, from transport and accommodation to activities and dinner. The goal is to create an unforgettable trip to thank your fellow SR members for their hard work throughout the year.

SR Trip committee members are typically social, pragmatic, confident, think out the box and have great organisational skills.

Professor Awards

The Professor Awards committee is in charge of the biggest SR event of the year! You will work in a small, cohesive team throughout the year to prepare for the event and make sure students can vote for their favourite professor. For this position, you are encouraged to harness your creativity and communication skills. As the event approaches, members of the Marketing & Events committee will join the team to help with final preparations.

A Professor Awards committee member typically has strong organisational skills as well as communication skills.  They are creative, reliable, pay attention to detail and dedicated to the project.
